This was almost exactly what I thought when I first read the descriptions, but I imagined it would be enemies enchantments ending that would gain you health and energy.

I immediately imagined a D/N with Chilblains and Rend Enchantments gaining insane health and energy in a single shot.

I also though of it being your own enchantments, but I first thought of Contemplation of Purity. Load up on enchantments, and when you need energy or are low on health, hit this. 54 health/8 en for each enchantment. Like a personal Infuse Health. You'd almost pray for someone to cast Rend on you. Like Grenth's Balance in reverse.

I will certainly be checking this out to see which it is after midnight Thursday. Either way, it will be fun.

Unless I'm mistaken, if you cast Mantra of Recall while already under MoR (either via a +20% enchant duration mod, a 20% half recharge being successful, a boss kill or an A.Echo etc), you merely prolong its duration, you do not trigger the energy gain from the first instance of it ending; similarly I doubt Mysticism will trigger under the same enchantment renewal senario.

Acutally, Relabrien and I have tested it out, and it infact ends then is recast.

To do this I simply cast soul barbs on him after he casted kenetic armour, he would use healing touch, and bamn, 15 damage from sould barbs.

The Soul Barbs test proves that it gets recast; it does not prove that it ends before getting recast.

I agree with levac, there's several spells in the game which have some effect when they "end" which does not occur if you recast the spell (Wastrel's Worry, Spell Shield, etc.) so it's reasonable to expect that Mysticism will only activate when an enchantment actually ends.

And it's not as if Mysticism doesn't look like it's going to be broken enough without making unreasonably favorable assumptions about how it would interact with existing spells.

Actually, in order for something to trigger Soul Barbs, it has to end and then be reapplied. You use wastrels on a soul babrs it activates the first time, spam it again and there is no damage until the first one ends. Therefore, kenetic armour must end, then be renewed automatically. Just like recurring insecurity is renewed everytime they are hexed.

An easier way to describe what Flyte is trying to say...

Soul Barbs does not trigger on a recast of Wastrel's Worry when a foe already has Wastrel's Worry on them.

Kinetic Armor, on the other hand, DOES trigger Soul Barbs when reapplied by its effect, so casting an enchantment on yourself nets you double the soul barbs damage. One from kinetic armor being reapplied, and one from the other enchantment.

Therefore, Wastrel's Worry and Kinetic Armor work differently.

But let's not make any more assumptions until Friday, when we can actually test it.
